P2PRIV has started as an academic initiative. From the beginning, this research was focused on distributed anonymous networks analysed in terms of their traffic performance. Apart from security evaluation, we were studying latency costs, network dynamics, and scalability of anonymous systems. These efforts have brought promising results in the field of P2P overlays. The new architecture P2PRIV (peer-to-peer direct and anonymous distribution overlay), presented on AINA 2008, gives an opportunity to overcome a costly tradeoff between anonymity and speed of communications. The analysis shows that the P2PRIV allows to build a communication platform able to assure high level of privacy for high-speed content distribution.
We believe innovations can move out of laboratories. Therefore, we invite representatives of industry, business, and academia to cooperation towards the development of the P2PRIV's technology.
